Presentation


Purpose of the association is to promote and carry out sports activities, especially table tennis, and to enable active leisure time for members of all ages.

The goals of the association are:

  • to promote mass participation and recreational activities in the field of table tennis and thus contribute to greater accessibility of sports and improvement of the quality of life for all involved,
  • to conduct sports training in table tennis for all age and interest groups, including people with various forms of disabilities and chronic neurological diseases (e.g. Parkinson's disease, recovery after stroke, multiple sclerosis, etc.).
  • development of competitive table tennis for children, youth, and adults,
  • cooperation with primary schools and the local community,
  • organization of sports events, tournaments, and camps,
  • inclusion of members in the competition system of the Table Tennis Association of Slovenia (NTZS) and in various recreational competitions in Slovenia and abroad,
  • education and training of instructors, coaches, referees, and organizers in the field of table tennis.

The association operates in the public interest in the field of sports, which is reflected especially:

  • by involving young people and children in regular training,
  • by ensuring equal opportunities for access to sports,
  • by providing free training for the socially disadvantaged
  • by working in the field of sports for the disabled and in the rehabilitation and inclusion of patients in sports training
  • by participating in the local sports network,
  • involving volunteers in the work of the association
  • by educating professional staff.

The Table Tennis Club Škofije organizes and leads table tennis playing for all age groups. Training for people with disabilities is also organized. Pupils of primary schools can learn to play in the table tennis school (1st, 2nd, and 3rd grades of primary school), and later they can join the training of older groups, or they can play only recreationally. For all others, recreational play is organized 3 times a week.
